Air purifier with HEPA filter highly recommended in baby's bedroom
Class: Portable HEPA Filtration System
Delivered Airflow: 20-40 CFM (Cubic Feet per Minute)
Dimensions: 8.5" diameter, 7.5" high
Control: 3 position, 2 speed switch
Power Consumption: 5 watts
Three stage filtration:
Stage 1: Prefilter to remove large dust particle (washable)
Stage 2: 99.97% efficient to remove 0.3 microns particles. Remove dust, pollen, bacteria, animal dander, attached viruses, cigarette smoke, radon daughters and more. (HEPA filter need to be replaced 2-5 years)
Stage 3: Removes hazardous VOCs that may off gas from things made with chemicals such as cleaners, paints, carpets and furniture. (VOC filter need to be replaced every 6 month)
Low Electrical costs: It takes about 13 roomaid to use the same amount of electricity as one regular 60W light bulb.
Air Changes per Hour (ACH)
(How many times can all the air in an area/room(s) be cleaned through the filter each hour?)
Generally speaking, the more air changes per hour (ACH) you can provide, the more effective a HEPA filter can be.
1 ACH provides excellent air cleaning results (higher is recommended for people with sensitivities).
Remember: More HEPA is better than less, but some HEPA is better than nothing at all.
Efficiency of Roomaid:
Ambient Air: To test for 99.97% efficiency, a reading must first be done to test the number of 0.3 micron sized particles in the air before filtration.
A MetOne laser particle counter is used. It is calibrated to count 0.3 micron sized particles per cubic foot of air.
Tested Ambient Air: 613,300 particles / cubic foot
HEPA efficiency in this case, is a filtered result of 184 particles / cubic foot or less
Filtered Air: The particle counter is then arranged so that it is taking in 100% of the outflow air from the HEPA filter. The results show how many 0.3 micron particles escape the HEPA filtration process.
Tested Filtered Air: 100 particles / cubic foot
Tested Efficiency: 99.98%
Net weight: 5 lbs (2.5 Kg)
