Q. How do I heat my microwaveable product?
A. All of products come with clear instructions of use and how to care for your product – including a guide relating to the microwaving of your product, depending on the power of your microwave. To ensure the grain remains moist and effective, we recommend that you place a small cup of water in the microwave when you heat your heat pack.
Q Is it normal for the wheat to be damp?
A. When used first time the bags may appear a little damp this is just normal as moisture from the wheat is released.
Q. Is it safe to microwave your products?
A. Yes. All microwaveable products conform to the stringent BS8433-2004 standard
Q .What is BS8433:2004?
A. This is the British Safety Standards test for testing the safety of a heat bag.
Q. How long does the fragrance last?
A. Although the fragrance will fade with time and heating, the lavender leaf lasts longer and you just need to scrunch up the product to reinvigorate the aroma.
Q. Are your products safe for children?
A. Yes, although we do not recommend them for children under 3 years old or where children will be left unsupervised for long periods.
Q. Can I use my product as a cooling pack?
A. Yes you can – this is known as a cold compress. We recommend placing your wrap in a sealed plastic bag and then place in the freezer for a few hours. Please note that the scent won't be as strong as when it's heated – this is perfectly normal.
Q How do I know which wheat bag will benefit me?
A. All wheat bags use heat therapy as the main and basic healing property and it has been medically proven that warmth overrides pain through the relevant pain sensitive nerve. Others benefit from the lavender aroma and lavender is known to also treat digestive problems, insomnia, anxiety, and restlessness. Until World War I, lavender was used to treat and disinfect wounds - the rest is down to preferred fabric choice and which area you want to treat.
Q. How long will my wheat bag remain warm?
A. The wheat bag will remain at a comfortable heat for up to an hour and can be re-heated as you like – you actually only need 20 minutes of warmth at a time to achieve the many benefits from your pack.
Q. How long will I receive the many benefits from my wheatpack?
A. Although it depends on the frequency of use, we would expect you to receive many months of enjoyment and benefit from your wheat bag - for best results, simply follow the care and safety instructions provided and that come with your product.
