Leezen Tomato Ramen is a healthy and convenient instant noodle option. It uses steaming and drying to make noodles, avoiding the frying process, reducing greasiness, and adding tomato powder to enhance the flavour. The vegetable packs include a variety of dried vegetables such as carrots, kelp sprouts, corn and green pea kernels. The seasoning packet does not contain synthetic flavours, flavour enhancers and preservatives, and is suitable for a healthy diet. This ramen can be prepared in soup or dry and takes about 3 to 5 minutes to cook.
(Vegan) Cooks quickly in 5 minutes, suitable for soup noodles or dry noodles with sauce.
Brand story: Cheng Chang’s boss lady Chen Meihuan returned to her hometown to take over her father-in-law’s noodle-making business because her husband was diagnosed with liver cancer. As her husband was a noodle lover, Meihuan hoped to develop a healthy and delicious vegetarian noodle that her husband could enjoy. She was responsible for product research and development. In 2001, Leezen wanted to launch non-fried instant noodles for consumers. After much inquiry, they found Cheng Chang Food in Taichung. Unexpectedly, Mei Huan said that she had known Leezen for a long time. It turned out that Mei Huan’s friend had given her Leezen‘s best-selling germ biscuits and strongly recommended them, telling her how they were in great demand. Therefore, the two sides felt very cordial when they met, and as their ideas were in line with each other, they quickly started cooperation.
Eating with peace of mind is the best gift
In making noodles, Meihuan abandoned the time-saving frying method and made the dough with flour and salt water. After rolling it with rollers and cutting it into strips, the dough was sent into the machine one by one for steaming and then air drying. Of course, the processing of the seasoning packet cannot be sloppy. Meihuan carefully stir-fries various shredded ginger, mushrooms, soy sauce, and bean paste, and then stir-fries them with spices to make the seasoning packet. She also said, "I need more vegetables to feel satisfied." So she took the initiative to expand the portion of the vegetable pack, filling it with carrots, kelp sprouts, corn, and green beans.
The innovative method of "steaming, boiling and drying" makes the noodles less greasy, although the process is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Meihuan believes that the best gift is to allow people who eat noodles to taste safe and delicious noodles.
