how to grow alfalfa sprouts at home:
Measure and Clean the Seeds: Measure out 1 teaspoon of seeds. This will yield about 1 1/2 cups of alfalfa sprouts1. Rinse the seeds thoroughly, removing any debris or floating matter2.
Soak the Seeds: Place the rinsed alfalfa seeds in a clear glass quart jar. Cover the seeds with 2 inches (5.1 cm) of cold water1. Cover the mouth of the jar with cheesecloth or clean pantyhose and soak the seeds for at least 12 hours1.
